Well we finally got a prescription for Zegerid
I started giving it to him mixed with formula from the nipple and it worked for a couple of days and now when he gets the nipple, even if it does not have medicine, he will not drink his bottle. What do I do now. How can I give the medicine to him. Please help me and let me know how your little ones are taking it. He is almost 5 months old.Hi Cindy,
Hope you are successful with the Zegerid
It has been a life saving/changing drug for our little guy Haden. I mix 2- 20 mg packages with 13 mls of water in a BIG syringe. I then put Haden’s single doses in small syringes with tip caps. I usually fill up 3 for the day. Your local pharmacy will usually give the small syringes free of charge. For the first month or so Haden did not like the taste at all. I would have to sing, etc. to distract him and then do small squirts into the side/back of his mouth. At his age you could probably lay him flat and slowly squirt the Zeg. As time goes on hopefully he won’t mind the taste. Haden now takes it like a little bird!
