My dear Forum Family,
PLEASE provide links for newcomers if you know how to find them…
yes yes I am always providing links,
but I am very pregnant (due july 17th if I make it that long, LOL) and chasing beautiful almost 3yr old jonah, who is currently in the middle of toilet-using-learning, so my time is very limited here at the moment THANK YOU
So, maybe even copy & paste them somewhere? or bookmark my welcome/intro?
Or ‘teach’ others how to do a search?

to do a search: there’s the ‘search’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the screen
you put the key word/s you’re searching for
then you choose “Topic Subject” from the drop- down menu of “Search In”
then I like to choose “All Forums” from the drop- down menu of “Search Forum”
then I like to choose “Topic Start Date” from the drop- down menu of “Sort Results By” (this way I get all the posts from the past that might help me)
June 6, 2006 at 4:27 pm #9235AnonymousInactiveYou’ve got it Laura!!! Quite a vivid image of a very pregnant you
chasing a 3yo Jonah – love it. How are you feeling? Best wishes to you
for a healthy remainder of your pregnancy, easy delivery and healthy
baby.June 6, 2006 at 4:33 pm #9236AnonymousInactiveSure Laura!!! I was just thinking of you today. Wondering how you were still managing to get to the computer when you were so preggo. Hope that you are feeling well, and that the rest of the pregnancy goes easily. Please update us when the big day comes. BTW, good luck with the toilet training. It was a wild ride when we started with Sarah, but it sure was worth it in the end- no more NASTY giant poop diapers! Good luck with everything.
June 6, 2006 at 11:28 pm #9254hellbenntKeymasterhi y’all
I’m large and hot. June in miami. hot. Pregnant anytime in miami = hot!
Jonah started this whole toilet thing on his own, yay! For a while now he’s been pooping on the toilet (we have a flip-down insert seat for the toilet- I did not want to be cleaning a potty. that’s just me…)
So, while he was pooping on the toilet, he was still peeing in his diaper, training pants, pull-ups, etc…from what I gather, that’s a bit ‘backwards’ as most tend to conquor their urination before bowel movements. Hey, I’ll take this kind of ‘backwards’ ANy day!
I’ve been home w/ him for about 2 weeks now and decided “that’s it!” Underwear for him! So, Elmo is King (& you thought it was Elvis)& thank god for Target; they carry Elmo underwear!
Then I just ‘made’ him go pee every 20 minutes for a couple of days. Then, I was informed to make it more like an hour. And that’s what we’re doing…We’ve even been adventurous and leaving the house in underwear. It’s funny, because I have to pee all the time, too, so it’s no biggie to go find a public restroom when we’re out & about bcse more often than not, I have to pee, too!
He starts camp tomorrow (basically summer session of the pre-school he’s been going to all school year long, while I was working) and I’m not sending any pull-ups, heh heh (ok, one for nap time). I’m pretty confident he won’t poopy in his Elmo pants and if he pees, well, I’m sending a couple of changes of clothes…if he does have a poop accident, well, then we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it…won’t be the first they’ve ever dealt with…nor the last…
I cannot believe I’ve turned into the kind of woman who tells about toilet-learning…
So that’s where I am.
Also trying like h*ll to get my house ready for this new little one…trying to declutter and whatnot. Dh & I are both packrats, ugh. But we’re making great progress . We’ve moved the office out of the 2nd bedroom to make it the baby’s room. We never use our living room anyway, so a (huge!) computer armoire is being delivered tomorrow so we can have an office that folds away (my idea- I believe in hiding the mess, as I know that it’s unrealistic to believe that either dh or I will change our cluttered ways…) for when company comes over (eh, I bet the thing stays open & we only close it for ‘formal’ gatherings)…I had some more cabinets added to our laundry room, too. Again, more places/closed doors to hide the mess…now, I just need to learn how to get organized and not HAVE the mess/clutter to begin with…ah, baby steps!
so that’s life at Casa Hellbennt…
We’re having Pamper Palooza II on Saturday (#1 was for Jonah and it was Potluck Pamper Palooza; this time ’round I’m buying the food, LOL). This is a co-ed, family affair- it’s my version of a babyshower; I didn’t want an all-woman silly game affair, so:
everyone comes & brings pampers. With Jonah, we didn’t have to buy any pampers for SIX MONTHS. when I needed a new size, I went and exchanged the smaller size for the next one, etc. I love this!
Good friends and family give other gifts, but this time around I really don’t need anything but pampers…
Ok, it’s late & I have to get up early tomorrow to pack up Jonah’s stuff for camp…I’m a great procrastinator!

I will do my best to post links. It’s not my strength (I’m impatient by nature and don’t always have time to look for them, especially with my three children constantly needing or wanting something).
Yeah, your’re right, I always figure “Hellbent will post them!” Hopefully, you’ll still find time to post after baby #2 comes along (hopefully without reflux).
I just decided to do the same thing with Eliana, NO MORE PULL UPS or DIAPERS (except at bedtime). She fully understands the whole Potty thing, she just doesn’t want to do it. Hopefully wet, yucky pants will convince her that using the potty is the thing to do. Good luck with training Jonah. If you have any tips, please share them. Thanks.
Christine
