3X/DAY dosing

I found a neighbor who is a drug rep who will get me samples of prevacid solutabs until I get a prescription. How are you all doing the 3x a day dosing?? Every 8 hours equally or first feeding, lunch and then bed time feeding? or something else all together? ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

first, make sure you are administering them on an empty stomach and followed with a full meal 30-60 min later. that will basically be your guide for when to administer them. good luck!

We give Bryce’s Prevacid 3 x per day. We give it about every 6 hours or so during the day. So like 7:30am, 2:00pm, 8:00pm (or something like that). It’s worked well for us.

Good luck! We used to do once in the early morning, once mid day and once before bed- but we were using immediate release so we didn’t have to worry about meals. Like Natalia said, his sleeping and eating schedule will probably dictate when you need to give it.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but be careful. I know that PPI’s are very safe, but I am not sure she is allowed to distribute drugs to people without prescriptions. I would call your doctor, if it were me…..

I am not sure your doctor will be happy if you are giving meds that you got “on the street” so to say….

I gave Myles his Prevacid at 6:30 am, 2 or 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
