saw the endocrinologist today—-i definitely have an adrenal insufficiency—-but she says that it is not being caused by the adrenal glands themselves, it is being caused by a problem with my pituitary gland. my ACTH levels should have been in the 100’s because of the low cortisol level and they were only at 9. that is how she knew it is being caused by the pituitary. i am scheduled for an MRI on july 7 to look at my pituitary. she has put me on hydrodortisone—hopefully that will help with the fatigue.
kevin is scheduled for his knee surgery on monday—the 29th. we discovered that the company he was working for had reported his income to the state insurance as a set amount—–which was lower than what he has actually been making and it is definitely not a set amount—he was on an hourly wage. this could make quite a difference in the amount of money he gets for workman’s comp. it is so disappointing to realize that there are so many dishonest people out there. i guess i should give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it could have been an honest mistake before i know the facts of who and how it was actually reported by the company.
finding a new job is going to be a challenge since kevin is 53 next month and has 2 bad knees.
life is such a wild ride.
