axid dose range by weight

Does anybody know what the dose range is for axid by weight for high and low end? Got a friend who’s just been given this script for a 2 month old 10 lb baby. Needless to say it isn’t working. At his age they are hesitant to go to stronger meds (she’s working on them with the marci kids memo) but in the meantime, what can she really be giving with the axid and also can she give mylanta cherry supreme along with it, if so how much?

The usual starting dose of the oral suspension is 0.5 milligrams per 2.2 pounds of body weight once a day for infants under 3 months and twice a day for infants 3 to 11 months.

So it should be around 2.2 mgs. I might be wrong so feel free to correct me. I found the above info on their site.
