My LO has reflux since she has been 2 months…she is now 6 months..we have gone through a ton of formula (she is also given breastmilk) I have been supplmenting from the very beginning.
She has always been on a milk-based formula until she started to get really fussy and gassy and her mannerisms have changed…so our dr. switched her to Soy…that hasn’t really helped her. So we changed back to our Good Start Nestle formula (still also giving Breastmilk)…she is still gassy…etc. Can my LO be developing an allergy at this stage in life? I have now changed her to a lactose-free milk formula and I have noticed that her head tends to flop when I have her up and she is really rubbing her eyes a lot…can she be that tired? We have her on Prevacid now and Domperidone. She has been on Domperidone for 3 months now….Prevacid just started about 3 days ago.Her poo has always been green when she eats formula…and then it turns yellow/green seedy when given Breastmilk bottles.I have thought that she was getting lactose overload and not an intolerance as she is gaining weight but not a lot…she is 14.5 lbs and 27 inches long. I want to know if anyone else has experienced your LO’s possbile allergy symptoms and could this be a cow’s milk allergy and not lactose. I have a call into my dr..again. Thanks in advance.February 20, 2009 at 7:52 am #61159AnonymousInactiveWhat do you mean when you say that her head starts to flop? My dd had strange movements, turned out to be sandifer’s from reflux, but we had an EEG to rule out seizures. There have been some on this site and others who thought that movevements were Sandifer’s but they were seizures. Best to run anything strange by your doc. Good luck.

Thanks for your info.

It was frustrating because he would never run a fever or have any other signs except for the head mov’t and some decreased eating and drinking. Might be worth getting it checked.

She won’t even open her mouth for me now..she used to love chewing on my fingers..nope not anymore so her gums must be sore…she is eating pretty good so that is a good sign. I don’t have a car today so figures I can’t get to the doctors today. If it does get bad I will have to call to see if they will make a house call…not sure they still do that. Thanks for your ear!!
