Hi, we started soy formula a few days back and we noticed that she’s throwing up more frequently. Is it safe to assume that she’s not tolerating it well or should we wait a few more days before drawing any conclusions? She’s been on it for 5 days to be exact. Thank you.
MM, any other symptoms? So hard to tell… Sounds like it might be reduced tolerance but I think all babies go through times they spit up a little more (ie teeting, cold etc).
I’d give it a little more time; unless she’s fussy as well. Myles had lots of ups and downs in how much he spit up, even with no changes in his diet; so it could just be one of those ups and downs of reflux.
Some of the moms here have said that Soy can be consipating. Also, constipation can be a sign of MSPI. Maybe it’s time to try one of the specialty formulas. I think most moms and docs start with Alimentum.
