im going crazy here. whenever i try giving my son banannas baby food it seems to make him miserable…i thought it was citric acid but then i read that the pears he loves has it in it too and he has no problem. id say its banannas but the thing is when i give him real banannas he is fine??? im so confused. i dont know if its that the banannas have more citric acid added to it then the pears or what ??? im thinking of just making my own babyfood…i dont know. all i know is hes always hungry….i was just going to avoid the citric acid but now i see its in the pears im thinking maybe thats not the problem….does anyone have any idea..im so tired of second guessing myself on this.
another mom just posted about bananas a few weeks back. They bother her daughter and my son as well. I have no clue why that is, but the other mom said that her husband’s reflux was really bothered by bananas as well.
As for why the baby food ones would be more of a problem… not sure about that one. I guess if you can just give him the regular ones and he’s ok, I would just do that.
Could it be preservatives? I know there is a looong shelf life on baby food so there has to be a ton of preservatives in all of it. Bananas may have more to keep them from turning. Just throwing an idea out there. Landen cannot tolerate anything from a jar it seems, so I decided to make all of his baby food. Lots of babies on here do better with homemade baby food for some reason.
Good luck!
