I have been giving my son the solutabs since he was just a few weeks old. I have found it much easier than trying to get him to swollow a liquid he can spit out easily. What I do is hold the solutab inside his cheek with my clean index finger and rub it around in his cheek until it disolves. Then I let him suck on my finger until he has swollowed the little beads of medicine. They are very small like grains of sand and so far it hasn’t been any trouble for him to swollow them in his saliva. Occasionally he tries to suck on my finger before the solutab is completely disolved and I have to try really hard to keep my finger in his cheek until it is disolved so he doesn’t choke on the undisolved tab. But, it isn’t really that difficult. I just have to pay attention to what I’m doing.
Anyway, it has been a lot easier because of the liquid issue I already mentioned and also because solutabs taste good, so he doesn’t try to get it out of his mouth like the zantac or prilosec liquids which taste awful.
