Best way to do PPI?

I also just posted under Help– so for those who see there— I am posting in 2 places 🙂

Was just prescribed Prevacid solutabs today— I feel incredibly anxious about giving Silas something with Asparatame in it. Does anyone know if Zegerid, bufferbabies, or other forms or prevacid or prilosec also have either aspartame or other fake sweeteners in them?

And, does anyone have opinion on best way to do PPI- I know that there are a million ways!!!

I think the best way is whatever works for your baby. Babies with feeding aversions will not do well on delayed release PPIs like solutabs, because they won’t feed on demand. For us, prevacid capsules in caracream (the old buffer babies worked best) and we’d tried everything else. Most important, I think, is that it’s not a pharmacy made compound- those are the worst, that it’s given correctly, and even more important is that the dose is high enough. Good luck.
