bethanechol side affects?

Has anyone out there used bethanechol and made their baby
sleepless? My 6 month old just started last night. I don’t
see any changes last night or today with the reflux. And she
didn’t sleep all night. I’ve seen the other posts, but no one has
talked about possible side affects. Any other side affects anyone
has seen?

My daughter accutally slept better with the bethanochol. Are you giving it to her at least 15 mins before she eats??? Might want to try that. I have been kindof wondering if it is making her tummy hurt lately. When we first started it, she droolled buckets, but not anymore. That is listed as a side effect, increased salivation. Also, you will change more urine filled diapers because it empties the baldder faster. Maybe you should try cutting the dose in half today and see how she does.

My guy wouldn’t sleep when on it. We only did it a few days before I said to heck with this (he was a poor sleeper to begin with).

Also, she’s throwing up just as much as before. It doesn’t seem
to be doing anything. But we’re just starting day 2. Does
it take awhile to work? Also, she threw up the med one
time. That just doesn’t seem right.

We didn’t have sleeping issues that we noticed, but her sleeping wasn’t great at that point anyway. We did notice that it made her completely wired. She acted very strangely while she was on it. It didn’t seem to help at all, so we stopped it fairly quickly.
