Hi Shannon,
My son recently had blood in a pool of projectile vomit (not spit up). Also, I didn’t notice much mucous with it. I know color and type matters-meaning was it clots or streaks in it. With us, it ended up being ulcers (they say from reflux, but we think from virus and croup coughing because like you, we were on a high dose of prevacid). Karen’s daughter on the board once had it because of a tear in her esophogus. Doctor’s said these types of issues clear in about 24 hours (the blood) but you may need carafate for awhile for long time healing.
Hope that helps! Are his stools ok?? I know it’s so hard when your child is mspi and you’re on neocate. It’s so thin and with our little refluxers, I just wish I could find something to thicken his bottles with that wouldn’t cause my son a reaction.
Keep us posted and big hug. I know how scary that is.
