Hey all,
Got the OK from the doc today to start prevacid. Seth now weighs 12lbs. and she prescribed a prevacid compound. But, it’s only 3mgs day. Not digging that too much. But, I’ll give anything a try at this point. It can’t be any worse than that horrible prilosec. My insurance won’t pay for the compound so we are going to do the Prevacid OTC and make it ourselves. My question is, should we use the bufferbabies or the caracream max? I thought about ordering both but I thought I would ask. Oh, and the CVS mylanta works like a charm. Love it. Seth loves it too and he finally went poop on his own!! Yay! Thank God for small miracles. I looked everywhere for that stuff and CVS is the only place that still sells it. It’s the CVS brand with no aluminum.
Also, at 12lbs. 3mgs isn’t that much once a day is it? It doesn’t sound like it to me. I’m not confident about the dosing so I guess I’ll go by the Prevacid 101 post.
