Ok, DD has reflux, pain well-controlled with Zantac. She’s just a big-time spitter.
It seems that DD only spits up when she’s not tired/groggy. In other words, she never spits up in her crib, she never spits up when she’s sleeping or falling asleep, etc.. She doesn’t even spit up with a burp with her middle of the night feed! And this is a baby that spits up ALOT. But if I’m watching her wake up from a nap I can almost GUARENTEE that as soon as her eyes pop open and she fully wakes up, she’ll spit up, even if it’s been 4 hours since her last feeding. you’d figure if she needed to spit up from reflux, it would come up REGARDLESS of her being asleep/falling asleep/being awake/nighttime/daytime. Does anyone know why this happens??? You’d almost be driven to think that the spitting up is somehow in reaction to something she experiences while awake as opposed to it being out of her control???
