InactiveI haven’t posted this in the Hip Hip Hooray section yet because the
jury is still out on reactions/tolerance, but Marisa’s Enfamil trial
ended last week and we’re now fully on regular Enfamil (about 18
ounces/day). And we just started cheese. She wouldn’t eat the white
American slice on Monday – too slimy but did eat almost half of a
Sorrento cheddar Stickster yesterday – I broke it into small pieces and
she fed them to herself after her lunch! Hoping no reactions and can
continue with dairy – maybe trying yogurt this weekend. She also came close to trying a fresh blueberry. Still wouldn’t do it
but did at least play with it and almost bring it to her mouth once or
twice!knb18 2006-6-21 7:20:15 June 21, 2006 at 8:08 am #10188Anonymous

InactiveCongrats Karen! Yes, I agree the power of positive thinking is important!
I’ve been tempted myself to give Alimentum a try because Ian likes it so much better but …..

InactiveThat’s terrific news!
If she can eat dairy it really opens up so many more possibilties for new foods for her. I’m happy to hear that she is tolerating Enfamil, and cheese. Think positive and try yogurt!! Supposedly yogurt is easier for them to tolerate than milk or cheese because of the live cultures.June 21, 2006 at 1:47 pm #10217Anonymous
InactiveThat is such great news! I wanted to ask about it but was afraid i would jinx you! Have you tried the cheese crumbles or cubed kraft cheese-both are really good textures!

InactiveThanks guys! She had another half of a stickster with lunch today.
Christine – I do plan to try yogurt this weekend. Sarah – what are
cheese crumbles?Tracy – since Ian tested negative for dairy allergy is he going to be able to try a different formula any time soon?

InactiveAllergist said although it’s a great sign he tested negative. It only indicates so far that he’s not in great danger for immediate reaction. And good indicator he will grow out of it. But still wants us to wait until 1 year and not push it as we could always be helping an allergy along. Safe then sorry strategy.
I’m still TEMPTED though.
