InactiveI can’t remember when Myles’ birthday is, but I just wanted to wish him a happy day and a great year. I think it’s coming up sometime, right (if it hasn’t passed already). Happy birthday to Ellie too (is it the 17th?). What are you getting her for her b-day? I need some ideas for Sarah. I was thinking of a doll house but couldn’t find one I liked, and not sure if she’s old enough for Barbie yet.

InactiveHi Lori,
I just asked you about Sarah’s Birthday, too.
Is her’s the 26th?Ellie’s is the 18th and Myles’ is the 20th.
Ellie loves, loves, loves the Fisher Price Little People (still at age 3!) so she’s getting the Little People Castle, and a playdough toy. She and Liza really enjoy playdough.
Myles can’t get enough of cars…..the boy just loves to push toy cars around the house! So funny at his age.
So, he’s getting a Little Tikes Handy Haulers truck…it has a handle on top to make it easier for little ones to push them around. He’ll love it. And I got him a cute magnetic puzzle toy…the magnetic pieces can stick to the fridge or he can play with the toy in his highchair. No party, though.
DH hates to have company (he has very severe social anxiety) and I can’t deal with the stress of planning a party, keeping everyone happy, and his anxiety all at the same time. We have no family here. So, we’ll just have cake and presents. I feel bad for my kids, but at this young age I guess they don’t know they are missing out on anything.September 14, 2006 at 2:41 pm #13576Anonymous
InactiveSo funny Christine!!

Sarah’s is the 25th, but I like to call September as the “birthday bash chaos”….
My bil is the 2nd, sil is the 8th, dh is tomorrow, other bil is also tommorrow, and then my other two bil’s are both on the 20th!!!!!… and then of course there’s poor Sarah who’s right at the end of it all (just when you thought you’d puke if you had to eat another piece of cake!!!)
Sarah never much liked the little people toys. She’s too wild and crazy to sit down and play with them. But I always loved them so I bought a few items to try to get her into them. They’re so cute. I never would have thought that she’d ever like a doll house, but a few weeks ago when we were over at my friend’s house, she was loving their daughter’s doll house. The thing is that the one I want is only available online from the US (and it’s huge- about 4ft tall- so kind of going overboard I think for her age). But I just love it! Anyhow, I think we’re going to settle for something smaller and cheaper and get people to buy a few barbie dolls and then if she plays with it, maybe we’ll invest next year for the holidays for the big one for both the girls.
We’re also not having a party here. All Sarah cares about is the party in her class, she keeps talking about it. We’re going to have a little party with my parents the day before since they’ll be here from denver, and then on her b-day, I’m going to take the day off to do her party at school. Then we’ll have dh’s family over (and my grandmother who will be with us) for her real birthday. Too many parties in my opinion! I decided against the big bash with all her friends, and I kind of regret it, but like you, figure that she’s too young to remember anyways.
Hailey also loves magnetic things on the fridge. Her favourite is the leap frog fridge farm that’s really cute.

InactiveOMG, you must hate September. We have that in March…my birthday, dh’s dad, dh’s mom… I think his grandma, too. Fortunately they are all out of state so we don’t have the cake fest…we just have to remember cards, cards, cards. And phone calls. Everyone’s insulted if they don’t get a phone call.
Well, thanks for asking about my little ones. Hope Sarah has a happy birthday.
The party at school sounds like fun!September 14, 2006 at 3:57 pm #13583Anonymous
InactiveWe often laugh that everyone in our family has either their bday’s in September (as you can see) or in May. We go through the same thing in May: My nephew is May 1, grandmother is May 5, two of my nieces are both May 14, my other niece is May 16, and then Hailey is the 31st, again at the end of it all. Makes party planning quite difficult!!!
Enjoy Ellie’s b-day… and Myles’ too of course!

InactiveWe always call Sarah “our New Year’s miracle”… sorry if TMI. We decided that we would start “not trying” for the new year…. along came Sarah 9 months later.

InactiveHappy belated b-day Myles! Any party pics?!!! (hint, hint!)

InactiveThanks, Lori. I’m working on pictures. He’s been a bit of a bear lately. Cutting molars. Crabby, crabby, crabby.
He cried all day the day of his birthday.
He has his one year check up tomorrow, or else I would have brought him in already to check his ears. Hopefully they are fine. Thanks for thinking of us. I’ll post some pics soon.
Is Sarah’s party at school today?

InactiveHappy birthday!!! Yes, we love pictures, please! Sorry he has been so miserable lately. I got my first ear infection this weekend (i don’t remember having one ever) and it is just so painful… so i really hope that is not it!
September 25, 2006 at 1:56 pm #14226Anonymous
InactiveThanks, Thais. I hope you feel better soon. I’ve never had an ear infection but dh had them continually as a kid. He says it’s horrible. I hope Myles doesn’t have one again. Hopefullly it’s just teething, not that teething isn’t bad enough. We’ll find out tomorrow.
How’s Matthew?

InactiveThanks for asking – he is doing great again! Not eating what he was eating before the throwing up episodes but we are no longer on continous feeds… he is taking some puree by mouth again.. i guess that everytime he regresses, we should just go back to the tube rather than push him, because then he gets a few days off and there he goes again!
