Kendra will be 15 months soon and she still doesn’t have a single tooth.
My 5 year old was a late teether as well, but she got most of them by 13 months. My ped said, if she doesn’t have any teeth by 18 months, we will be reffered to a dentist. I am getting worry here. She won’t be using them too much, but gee i still would like to see them soon.
She might be showing signs of teething as i have noticed she is putting more things in her mouth lately, but i check and noting is showing , no sawllen or red gums.
I wouldn’t go by red gums since not every child’s gums change in color as the teeth erupt. Is she salivating a lot? I’d wait a few more months than go to the dentist so they can take radiographs of her gums to see if there are any tooth buds under there. She might teeth really late, that’s all.
The only sign that Cooper is teething is drool and things in his mouth more than usual. I usually don’t know that he is cutting a tooth until it pops threw, we were really early so we are the opposite end of the spectrum. I would just wait it out and if no teeth at 18 months go to the dentist and see what he says. Keep us posted though. I will pray hard for teeth soon for you guys.
