InactiveLori,
I’m sending hugs your way!!! I thought about you on and off all day yesterday. I actually had the urge to call you the day prior….even though I don’t have your number and we’ve never “called.” I’m thrilled that you have at least had this done, now you at least know she’s not currently got an ulcerated esophagus, etc. etc.
I have to say that although Lucas never had eating aversions, we’ve been there with you on the no sleep thing for so long. At 18 months things began to improve, (we changed other things that i’ve shared with you before) and I have weaned him now and he seems to be even better. He’s very close to age 2 (b-day next week) and I can only think that besides for my breastmilk being laced with serious acid
AGE has been the major factor on our side, even with the hiatal hernia. It sucks to think that we don’t know when or if our kids will ever get off ppis or if they will ever sleep, but his sleep has changed so dramatically that I can only hope age will bring some similar results for you as well. HANG IN THERE.PS. Just cause they didn’t see a h. hernia doesn’t mean there isn’t one. If it’s your gut feeling that something else is there, maybe it is. Lucas’ has improved so much, it seems even with the h. hernia for us, his growth, development, and age have only helped the situation. I’ll be in touch!

InactiveGlad you were able to get the scope done and all went well. I know you are glad to have that finally behind you! You all were definitely in my thoughts yesterday- please keep us posted on what they say about the biopsies.

InactiveLori, I am so glad that it went well. It is great that it looks like the meds are working. I sure hope she will be able to outgrow it someday.

InactiveI just wanted to thank you all so much for your kind words and support. When I wanted to divorce dh the morning of the scope, I was so grateful that I had you all behind me, even if he wasn’t. We are still remaining hopeful that Hailey will outgrow it one day, and that one day, we’ll be able to sleep again, and our lives won’t have to revolve around sleep feeds and medicines.
Though we’ve never met, you are all truly my family. I don’t know where I’d be without you, and I love you all and hope the best for each of you. Maybe one day some of us will actually be able to meet. Thanks again.

InactiveI’m glad the scope went well. I wished there was a special milestone that reflux children automatically grow out of it! It would make life some much easier! Sleep feeds and medications, well, that sums up my life! You are doing great, reading your posts I know it has been very rough with Hailey’s issues but your a great mom, Keep it up! Husband’s just don’t understand! Taylor will only eat for me and he continues to tell me to leave her with a babysitter so I can get a break and relieve some stress, he doesn’t understand that would actually stress me out more knowing that she’s not eatting! Oh well, what can you do!Alexis’s mom2006-9-14 12:55:23

InactiveHang in there Sue! I know how you feel about the feedings and the stress, that’s for sure!!! UGGHHH, how I hate sleep feedings!!!!
I never was able to leave Hailey with anyone for the same reason, and I certainly got criticized for it. How is Taylor doing these days?

InactiveLori, I was just wondering how daycare and work are going? Or, have you been home since her test on Tuesday? How’s Hailey feeling?
Do you have Birthday plans for Sarah?
