The only positioning that seems to work when feeding Tyler is his infant seat. Holding him just does not work. He is 18 lbs – very long and very fidgity. He always spit and has terrible reflux when I hold him to feed a bottle.
Anyone who is bottle feeding and using an infant seat to feed in I would appreciate suggestions on how you position to feed when you are out. It is not always possible to drag an infant seat with me when I am out. Car seat does not work at all – in fact I need to wait an hour after a feed wherever I am before I put him in the seat because his reflux is bad in it. We just bought a new Britax convertible car seat to try to improve this but there was only a mild improvement so far.
I am considering trying to feed him in his front facing carrier but I am not sure that I can get the bottle to drain far enough if he is straight up ( I guess I can lean back really far and look like I am having a seizure!!
)
I would appreciate suggestions! Thanks
