I posted this under the medicines formum too, since I had kinda started there…
Hip Hip Hooray! Riley is finally content and relaxed after eating after about a week and a half on 15mg prevacid. He is sleeping like a champ and happy to just be held and look around for a bit.
But it seems like we have a new issue?!?! Now he never seems hungry/only wants abut an ounce of formula at a time. I have to really force the subject to get him to take even 2 oz, where he was previously eat around 4 oz. I know he may have been comfort eating before, but only 1 oz seems really low now. He is way more gassy/burpy during eating as well. Ive tried a fast/slower nipple and all together different bottles/nipples.
I really hate to be complaining since we have made such progress overall, but I am so confused?? I called Dr and left message and have not heard back yet. Also have a GI appt for end of month, so perhaps by then he will be fine, but meanwhile I am worried he isn’t getting enough to eat. Oh and I tried feeding him more often, which means I am waking him up ( ! ), and he gags like he couldn’t possible eat another drop.
