Forgetfullness

I have a question. Christian, now approaching 10mos, was able to roll from back to tummy at around 3-4 months. He has now “forgotten”.

Has this happened with any of your kids – forgetting to do a “milestone” that they had once mastered? I am trying to figure out why – is is that when his g-tube was placed it affected a muscle or he is afraid to hurt that area? Is it that he know if he fusses enough someone will sit him back up?

He is crawling and pulling to standing, can roll from front to back without issue – it is just crazy that he seems to have forgotten – or shows no desire to flip himself and get back to what he was doing.

Hailey also seems to have forgotten how to roll from tummy to back. She used to do it all the time, and now I’ve yet to see her do it again. I wonder if they’ve actually forgotten, or if they’ve gotten heavier so it’s harder to do.
