I agree with Emily and Naomi both. I was in the same boat too, and I even did TED but Caden continued to fuss while nursing at some feedings (definitely not all and not every day either).
I finally realized I had OALD (the milk comes down too fast for the baby and causes him to choke, pull off, fuss, etc.). I also have too much milk. I had to experiment to find out the right amount, but I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to nurse on one side only for 6 hours in order to keep my milk supply under control. If I switched sides before that, he would choke and fuss.
It may not be the meds. For us, that had nothing to do with it. Of course, it could be that in your case though.
I would first assess whether you have too much milk (if you’re often engorged and your milk sprays, you probably do). Then, you can start out by only feeding on one side each feeding. If that doesn’t help, you can go to two feedings on one side, etc. until you find what it takes to cut the supply down to a manageable level. ONLY do this if you’re sure you have too much, because it will lower your supply.
Good luck 🙂
