I have not posted here for along time. Ashlynn has been off her Nexium since June,but these last few weeks her reflux has came back. What’s going on? She is scheduled for her 2nd set of tubes plus adeniods on the 12th Of June. I thought that this was over. Poor little girls keeps pointing to her mouth. Do any of you use children’s tums?

I used pepcid complete when Hailey went off the prevacid but still had breakthrough. Dr. Phillips recommended it, and the fruit flavour tastes good.

Hopefully it’s just temporary. Good luck with the surgery.. that’s a long wait!

We have used tums from time to time, and we also keep a bit of mylanta in the house although I haven’t used it in a long time. So sorry to hear you are still having issues.

Yes, we have used Tums as needed. I saw the children’s tums at walmart for the first time the other day. I wonder what the difference is between regular tums? June is a long time to wait…I hope you can get this flare back under control. Good luck!

childrens tums and regular tums are actually the same. the only difference is the flavor and of course the price! 😉 Pepcid complete works better in my opinion but they both will help with the breakthrough.

Thanks girls I had a type o above Ashlynn’s surgery is the 12th of Jan. Yesterday she was having hiccups like crazy. Could a viral bug also cause the flare-ups? She has not had any problems for the longest time.

Thanks for the help. This site was a god sent when Ashlynn was at her worst. At one time she was on 3 meds and I glad to say she has been of Nexium since June. The only problem we have now is ear infections and I think that is a family gene she got from her dad. Danika my 4yo had many ear infections when she was younger.

Yes, virus’ can definitely cause stress on the body and produce more acid…. absolutely could be the problem…. Here’s hoping!!

Ok last night Ashlynn was telling her neck hurt but pointing to her throat. Reflux? Last night she was a horrible sleeper. To remind you she had a scope in Feb. which came back normal. Last night she was making these like she was refluxing. Poor baby
