Granola recipe?

[Anonymous]

I’m on the elimination diet and am in desperate need of something to snack on with some crunch. I’ve added oats and grapes back to my diet so far and wondered if there isn’t a homemade granola recipe I could try… maybe toasting the oats in the oven with some honey and raisins? Does anyone know how to go about this??

i make homemade granola sometimes. i don’t use a recipe, but i’ll give you an idea of how i make it. i mix honey, brown sugar, and oil together and then heat them in the microwave so everything is melted, then i pour it over some oats and stir until everything is coated, and then i bake it on a greased cookie sheet. i think we cook it at about 300 degrees. we stir it about every ten minutes and watch to see how much it is browning. it will not be crispy until it cools down. i’m not sure how long we cook it—-we just always wing it.

Thank you Christine. Do you have an idea of the measurements for the ingredients?

i don’t know the amount—sorry! you can always add more of the liquid ingredients if it is too dry, or more oatmeal if it is too gooey. i do alot of my cooking with out recipes or measurements—-i just eyeball things.
