Help-Baptism tomorrow…baby screaming all day

My daughter’s baptism is tomorrow. She use to scream all day due to acid reflux but has gotten much better. She is always a little gassy and spits up not a huge amount. Now today she is having such a bad day. Screaming all day…bad gas…and spitting up like crazy. I feed her powdered Good Start. Someone once mentioned that the ready to feed is easier on their tummies. Something about not having as many bubbles and missing some corn ingredient. I can’t afford to give it to her all the time. But was wondering if it might make her tummy feel better. Especially for her special day tomorrow. But I also don’t want to make things worse. Any thoughts?

Hi there. I’m a new member and I read your post and was wondering how the baptism went.

I have the same fears that my son will scream the whole time and/or spit up all over his outfit during the ceremony, especially if he is in horizontal position when the water is poured over his head.

These are the remote things that reflux effects- that most people don’t think of right away.

My husband and I have not been to church since the birth of our son due to the fear of him crying the whole time. (Our church does not have a seperate sound-proof room)

The baptism actually went well. She got restless at times. Like she does when she is about to spit up. But otherwise she did well. And honestly, there were so many other children crying…even if she did I wouldn’t have felt on the spot. I decided against giving her the ready to feed. Which I’m glad I did. The couple times I have since she did not react well.

As far as taking him to church. I have yet to bring either of my children. Hayley always spits up in her car seat and cries if it is not moving. So I understand why you have resisted.
