HELP!! Throwing up

Hi my nine mo old has had reflux since 5 mos. He is on axid and we thought he was improving and outgrowing it (unlike my 3 yr old who is awful!!) But 2 weeks ago he threw up everything in hisa stomach from the previous evening ( about 6 hours worth) Then he did the same thing a week ago, Last night he did it again, but instead of throwing up once he threw up 11 times over a two hur period. I was sure it was the flu…until he passed out, slept for 4 hours, and got up as happy as can be. Help! Has anyone else experienced anything like this…and what did you do? Thanks.Nicole

The only thing that makes my older dd and baby dd throw up like that is when they get milk or soy products. They just can’t digest them and they get horrible stomach aches and eventually vomit or get diarrhea. That seems like such a long period for a virus and the vomiting is so inconsistent. OMG- a 3 yo with reflux! Axid never worked for us, maybe time for a ppi like prevacid. At 6 months, things got bad for dd because of the teething, made things more acidic. Hope he feels better soon!

Thanks for the help. I know he hasn’t had any milk products…it is the strangest thing. i am wondering if he grew and his medicine isn’t working anymore. I am praying someone out there has been through something like this and has some advice.

PS: to ryannsmamma Yep a 3 almost 4 year old with severe reflux. They kept saying he would outgrow it and he never has!
