Hello ladies……..well here we go again with Rylie and her asthma along with her refulx. It really feels like every holiday that I end up at the ER with Rylie. I have to say that when we walked in (other than everyine knows our name…..kind of like Cheers, you know) I jokingly said to the receptionist “You are open on Christmas, right?” She just laughed and nodded her head, yes.
We did go and see the ped pulmologist and he suggested that she take the sweat test to rule out Cystic Fibrosis……although he said that it very unlikely. Then he was telling me about the windpipe and how it is made of cartilidge and that her’s could be just flappy…..which she would sooner or later grow out of it. And the only way to check that is to place a tube (small one) through her nose and down the windpipe…..which, of course she would be a sleep for. We just need to find out what is causing all of these asthma attacks…..he even said that she just maybe allergic to something too.
