InactiveYes, I always think that Hannah seems a lot like my kids- the feeding reminds me of Hailey, and so your posts are kind of inspirational to me… like there is a light at the end of the sleep feeding tunnel!
I think maybe I’ll get the aquadoodle. We have so much playdough and yes, they do love it!
I just bought this for the kids as one of their presents from mastermind… I got a playset with the water flute, water xylophone, and water drum. I thought it was kind of neat.

I LOVE music toys, so I just got Sarah a play guitar and a “saxoflute”. The saxoflute you can assemble the pieces in different ways and then blow a sound that’s hopefully not quite as annoying as a recorder!!!

I also got this for Hailey:

InactiveI must have posted at the same time as you, Tiffany. I was going to pm you to see if Seth is still using his comfy lift bed, and if so, how you stop him from slipping down and if his legs hang off.
Anyhow, back on topic… I hate the sheer volume of toys in our house, but at the same time, I don’t buy much for the kids. It’s mostly an accumulation of presents from family and friends since Sarah’s been born and we’ve never scaled down because along came Hailey.
We were thinking along the lines of donating as well- to the Children’s hospital. They have certainly given us a lot during the past year (more than I ever wanted!). I don’t know if you can ask people bring a gift to donate, but a friend of mine does something that I think it great… for each gift that their child opens, they have to pick one of their old toys to give away to charity. Here a lot of local charities (hospitals, fire stations, group homes etc) take used children’s toys, clean them and put them out for the kids. We were thinking of having Sarah do that b/c she’s old enough to get it.
As for LEGO, yes… We have MANY mega blocks, leggo quatro and duplo around here! Great toys!

LOL Thais! Hailey’s drinking is so bad these days, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing! Does he play with it too? Otherwise maybe I’ll return it and just get the flute.

InactiveLori,
We have the hide and squeak eggs…..very cute and fun!
I tried to buy some of those tub tunes toys last year but everyone was out of them…then I forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder
….I hope I can get some this year.November 22, 2006 at 9:43 am #18752Anonymous
InactiveLori,
We’re thinking about getting the aquadoodle too. Isaac has a magnadoodle – which they both love – but it doesn’t work too well anymore.I LOVE the music toys you showed! Thanks for the ideas. I’m definitely going to look into both the tub tunes & the saxoflute.
We’ve been wanting to do the same thing as far as donating toys. We were thinking each year before Christmas we’d like to have our kids pick out a few toys that they can donate. Not only to clear out the clutter, but I like the idea of teaching them charity. We tried to do this last year, but the problem is we haven’t been able to find anyone who accepts used toys. The hospital is a great idea though! We didn’t try them last year. Primary Children’s Hospital has saved Bryce’s life more than once, so I’d love to be able to donate to them if they will accept toys.
