Ok, now I’m paranoid. If he was allergic to Elecare, wouldn’t something have showed on the endoscopy (it showed no allergies) as it was the only thing he was eating. Also, his IGE number was really low also indicating no allergy. Granted, he wasn’t eating much and was vomiting but it would only take a little right? Plus the congestion started only in the hospital and irritability/nightwakings began after medicine switch-he was the happiest baby in the world for months on Elecare prior to proceedure? No typical signs of allergy or reflux at all? Just what appeared to be gas and bearing down moves like he had to poo (Even though the proceedure showed esophogitis-I still almost CANT believe it-now that he was refluxing like mad on prilosec I can see it clearly-still makes me think something else is going on and ulcers were from week of projectile vomiting and virus).
BTW-we’ve switched back to prevacid (thank god!). Will post under medicines with concerns (naturally, always concerns, right?). It’s only been one day but he’s still not sleeping and pretty miserable.
