How important is raised sleeping?

My Julie usually naps in her infant chair or in the sling, but sometimes we

lay down in bed together to nap, and she sleeps with us in bed at night.

She hardly ever has trouble at night, loves the changing table, and likes

the “colic carry” where she’s held face down parallel with the floor. So

what I am wondering is, if her symptoms don’t seem worsen when she’s

laying flat, do I still need to have her sleep semi-upright?

It depends on the baby. Ally, whose reflux can still sometimes can be quite bad, started sleeping flat around 4 months. I say if she’s comfortable and sleeping, don’t worry about it.

Something to note is that the sling and the infant chair probably have her semi-upright. Another thing to think about if you are having sleeping troubles is could she sleep laying on her tummy at her age?

Emma did MUCH better sleeping on her tummy AND we have always kept her mattress raised.

Even now, post-fundo, her mattress is still raised. It helps her respiratory issues too.
