Ben has an ear infection. Boo… Hiss…
Glad to find out what has been bothering him though. Anyway, he’s been prescribed Amoxicillin and the last time he took this, he had horrible diarrhea.
Anyway, the pediatrician (not his regular one) said Probiotics were fine to give. So, I’m jumping at the opportunity.
Only problem is that I can’t find any specifically made for children or infants in this area, and since he starts the antibiotics right away, I don’t want to wait until I can order some online.
So, I bought some for adults and plan to just give him some, but does anyone have an idea as to how much to give? The kind I have are chewable tablets (contains lactobacillus acidophilus and lactobacillus bifidus. They are also milk free) .. I plan to just crush it up and give it to him on his food or something. Each tablet is 1 billion organisms, and the adult dose is to take 3 tablets a day.
Any ideas?
