InactiveI completely forgot to give Sarah her mid-day dose of Zegerid!!!
I remembered around 6pm tonight. How soon can I give her third dose of the day? Is 4 hours enough time? Or should I just skip it and hope for the best????Eeeeeek!

InactiveBeen there, done that, believe me. I wouldn’t worry about the time spacing but I would try to give all three doses. Just to be on the safe side

Hope everything is still going well for you!!

InactiveRobin – Everything is going so well! Thank you for thinking of us! Sarah is just wonderful! Daycare is GREAT! It has turned out to be a blessing. Because of daycare, she is out of her swaddle and doing all sorts of “big girl” things that I probably wouldn’t have tried at home b/c I’m a first time mom and didn’t know! She has been sitting up on her own since she was almost 5 months! She LOVES it. Now she doesn’t want to “lay around” anymore! The sitter used to be a Developmental Therapist in the Early Intervention program so she really works with her! She said Sarah is advanced in most areas and is doing a lot of things in the 6-9 month age! Woo-hoo! Always nice to hear your child is a genius…haha!
Anyway, this past month has been a true joy as a mommy. I’m so proud of Sarah. I went ahead and gave her the last dose of Zegerid. It was about 3 hours apart. I know you “can’t” overdose Zegerid in general but I didn’t know how much you could give at a time/or how close together. Thanks for the replies!

InactiveThat is such great news that she is doing so well!! Believe it or not, I forgot Abby’s afternoon dose today
. Just gave it to her and I’ll give the other one just before bed. Oh how I can’t wait for the day she doesnt need medicine
– hopefully it will be sooner than later!!Don’t you just love picking up your child from childcare and hear how great they are doing? It just makes your heart swell up a little bit and makes you soooooo proud. Gotta love being a Mommy!!

InactiveAmy,
You and Sarah sure are fortunate to have such a wonderful sitter! I’m happy she’s doing so well.

She sure is cute! I can’t tell from the picture, is her hair red or blond?
Robin,
Since Kayla outgrew her reflux at 8 months, are you thinking that maybe Abby’s outgrowing her’s now that she’s 8 months old? My two refluxers both outgrew their’s at the same time (9 months). I hope Abby can come off her meds soon. I sure was happy when Myles no longer needed his.

InactiveChristine:
Not sure when we will try taking her off the Zegerid. We haven’t had to increase her dose in a while so hopefully that is a good sign. Not really in any big hurry to do it although it would be nice to not have to worry about it. I think first we will try getting her to a soy or milk based formula, then mess with the meds. Or maybe leave everything as is – I go so back and forth on this – I’m still looking for her instruction book

InactiveRobin,
I know what you mean. You have to do one thing at a time or you’ll never know what’s working and what’s not. It’s a little scary to make changes when things are going well.
I started Myles on the Good Start first. He did fine, thankfully. Now I’m wondering when I should try whole milk.

InactiveChristine – Sarah’s hair looks pretty blond except in pictures. It shows a reddish tint. It also looks a little red in sunlight too. I have reddish/brownish hair so I won’t be surprised if it turns redder, but I was secretly hoping she’d take after DH’s dark hair.

We do feel so lucky to have a great sitter. The first few days were rough for Sarah and I tried DESPERATELY to find someone else. I’m really glad we stuck it out!
Glad your kiddos are doing great!
