InactiveYes.. you see that walking worries post below??? Well, I’ve tried my hardest to prevent it… I wanted to cherish that adorable smile of hers. Her teeth just started showing through that smile… and then, bam… just in the blink of an eye, her smile is changed… thankfully, she didn’t knock out a tooth, she just chipped one. And her teeth are now crooked. She managed to get up on the couch, but we weren’t at home, we were at my sister’s house. And she had climbed up on the futon… you know the one with the bars on the sides. Well, my clumsy little Quinn fell and her teeth hit right on that bar and she chipped her tooth and knocked the other one back a bit. It’s hardly noticeable, but you can deffinitely tell. My poor baby screamed and screamed. Oh I felt so bad. I was just barely a centimeter away from her. I had just reached out to get her off the couch… I know just how unsteady she is on the floor so on the futon, it would be worse. She must have seen me coming and got scared and then tried to turn and slipped and it was all over in a matter of seconds. I knew this would happen!!!
Tomorrow is our pedi appointment, weight check… I think shots??? and check up… I will also talk to him about her clumsiness and if I shoudl take her to the dentist… oh man. I hope he doesn’t think I’m a bad mom. She has a huge knot on the back of her head from the cement fall the day before yesterday, a busted lip, a big bruise and scratch from yesterday, many scratches on her knees, elbows and palms and now the chipped tooth. This sux.

InactiveOh no! That’s too bad she hurt her teeth. Ouch! Poor Quinn. I think I would definitely push for a re-evaluation from EI. I’m sure a physical therapist would have some ideas for you. Good luck with the doctor tomorrow.

InactiveI’m so sorry to hear that she fell and chipped her tooth! You guys can’t seem to catch a break lately. I’m glad to hear that her ped appointment is tomorrow, so at least he can give you his view of the situation. Like I said before, I’d also get her evaluated again. And you’re NOT a bad mom, and there’s no way your ped will think that! Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s impossible to be watching a toddler 24/7 once they figure out how to move!

InactiveSorry to hear about the chipped tooth, but you are in NO WAY a bad mom. This type of thing happens all the time. Like Lori said, no matter how hard you try, it is just impossible to watch children 24/7. I hope you are able to get the reevaluation done
