Evie went for her first set of shots today and now she is SOOOOO fussy. She is crying like she is in pain and is difficult to console. This will last about 15 minutes and then she crashes. Is this normal???
Sarah, my older daughter, reacted to her first set of vaccinations with extreme fussiness. It was terrible. For her subsequent shots we learned to give her some tylenol afterwards to help with any discomfort. Hope she’s feeling better soon. If it doesn’t pass, you can call your docs office back and see what they say.
My boys have usually been fussy and tired after shots. Tylenol usually helps. I think their leg muscles just get kind of achy from the shots. We usually try to give them a dose of Tylenol right before their shots, and that helps too.
Alana slept the best she had ever done after her first vaccs. It was at the height of her reflux and itwas such a relief to have some rest. She was also irritable for a few days after her 6 month vaccs. She was fine within a few days. She’s fine though. But if you are worried I would run it past your Dr, my motto, better to be safe than worried
thats great she is feeling better. it can be scary i know. i freaked out when he was around that age and got a set of them too. he also slept forever that day..and i got even more scared..because he NEVER slept ;). but again thats great that she is back to herself
Shots really threw Carson off and our GI SPecialist said that is normal for his reflux babies. I asked why?? He just said that the immune system is working hard to make antibodies and with reflux/allergy children, the immune system is usually on overload to start with. We opted not to get the *new* shots like the one for ear infections and the one for chicken pox. There is a link on here that shows WHAT is in the shots and it isn’t real pretty stuff. I know this is VERY controversial and each parent has a right to their own opinion.
