Hello all – I’ve been posting sporadically for the past couple of
months as it’s been crazy around here lately. Just wanted to give
all of you some hope!! Zach had been doing very well since about
11 months so at his 1 year check up our ped suggested that we start on
whole milk. I was very anxious but it went over great….and he
loved the milk!!!
In fact, he
drinks more milk now then he ever did. He is such an active
little guy that I think part of his problem was that he didn’t want to
sit still long enough to drink an 8 ounce bottle. Now that he has
his sippy with him a lot of the time, we are constantly filling it
up!! Our ped suggested that if the milk went over well, to try to
ease off the Prevacid so we had been giving one dose a day for about 3
days and then we stopped all together (kind of by accident, we forgot
to give it to him for 2 days so figured it was a good time to
stop!) So far he has been the same little active guy. We
still seem to have some sleeping issues – he likes to wake up once at
night, take a couple sips of milk and then have us rock him for about
10 minutes but we are trying to take care of that issue as well.Anyway, I hope that you all your little ones are doing well and hopefully will turn the corner soon. Hugs to you all!!!
Yippee! That’s so great! Whole milk and off Prevacid at the same time – that is just so great!!!!!
