My wife and I are new to the board. We have a 2 year old, (one of twins), who has severe reflux after a TEF repair when she was first born. Recently we have moved to a J/G tube and it has really improved our daughter’s situation – almost no reflux symptoms. Lately she has exhibited some reflux issues again and we were wondering if J tubes can slip back into the stomach?
I assume that you have the G/J and the J is coming up? The J is a tube exactly like the G – that means that they will create another stoma, slightly below and to the right of where the Gtube is. So no, they do not spit it out because it is separate and like teh Gtube it is a button usually. Glad that you found a way to stop the reflux.
I think Lori must have offered where to find more info and support. Nobody here has a G/J or a J.
