Hey Everyone!
We’ve been offline for almost three months now due to a computer problem and a nightmare experience with Best Buy’s repair department , but we’re finally back and doing much better than the last time I posted. (When I logged in on this site, 77 “pages” of posts came up for me to review, yipes! I don’t think I’m going to make it through all of them. )
Jonathan is doing really well. Something kicked in around his first birthday and the reflux seems to be gone or at least much better. He’s sleeping well (unless he’s teething) and starting to eat solid foods, FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! We’re really excited about that! At 10-11 months old, he wasn’t able to tolerate anything we gave him and I was really discouraged. We stopped food trials completely for two months and restarted them in February. So far he’s only had one bad reaction that went away when I stopped one of his mixed stage 3 meals. He still so far behind in his eating skills that we got excited when he could eat cheerios without choking! It may be a while before he graduates to eating table foods.
His doctor is wanting us to try an Alimentum challenge soon and then he wants to try reducing his Prevacid from 15mgs twice a day to just once a day in the morning. All these trials make me nervous, but hopefully, they will show where he is in his progress back to a normal digestive system.
He’s walking, starting to talk and cutting teeth like mad. So all in all, we’re in a great place. Thanks so much to all of you who gave me support during the really hard days. I’ve missed this forum greatly! It’s good to be back.
