Okay ladies. All this time I have thought I was either intolerant to or allergic to anything cow. The other day I tryed some lactose free ice cream, thinking for sure I would get sick and I never did. I tryed it because my friend said she bought it for us. Most people think if you have a dairy allergy it means your lactose intol. Anyway, I can’t eat beef either. Beef doesn’t have lactose does it? I am so confused since I don’t know what lactose is anyway. How can something be lactose free? Thanks for any input.
They can make dairy lactose free by adding lactase (the enzyme we lactose intolerant people are lacking) to the food. There are probably other ways, but I’m not sure what they are.
Maybe you are lactose intolerant but also allergic or intoleratnt to beef. I don’t think there is lactose in beef.
I have hot and I think cold flashes. Feel sick to my stomach, very gassy, and sweaty. When I feel sick to my stomach, I feel like I am going to throw up or have dirrahea (sp). I don’t think I have had either, but that is how I feel.
Have you tried organic beef or bison? I wonder if it’s the antibiotics and hormones, and god knows what else they feed these animals on these commercial farms.
I get a lot of those symptoms from dairy…mainly gi distress (putting it mildly). No sweating or hot and cold flashes though.
I haven’t tryed organic beef or bison. Actually I have been doing ground turkey instead. We even like it better and I think it is healthier. I love healthier. Woo hoo.
I tryed some lactaid last night and then had 3 pieces of pizza with cheese and I had no symptoms today. It is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. I can actually have pizza with cheese again and mexican cheese dip and cheese cake. I do without everything else, but boy how I have missed that stuff. I haven’t seen in signs in Justice yet either. I really hope he has outgrown his dairy intol.
I use ground turkey all the time too. Myles loves my turkey meatballs.
I’m glad to hear that Lactaid works for you. It never worked for me, but my lactose intolerance is not as bad as it used to be so I can sneak in some dairy as long as I don’t overdo it.
