InactiveHi All
After reading Christine’s post (My funny girl), I had a thought (I only try and do one at a time, don’t want to confuse myself with too many thoughts
). Well, we all hear funny stories and we all need a laugh sometimes, so why don’t we tell a few….At work this week, one of the physio’s told me this.
The father of one of her clients asked if the physio could support him in applying to a funding body to get his son a treadmill. The physio asked WHY he needed one. Well the father said, my son gets very cold feet at night when he is in bed and I thought a treadmill might help. At this stage I was imagining a little treadmill strapped to his feet whilst he slept- well that may help I thought…..Apparently the Physio was not quite as enthusiastic as the father and myself. She said
Well, I don’t think I can support that, but how about a pair of SOCKS!
The most embarrassing bit of this story for me is I DIDN’T EVEN THINK OF THE SOCKS
.Please post other funny stories, and if anyone would like to relate their own embarrasing moment and join me in feeling a little bit STUPID please feel free

InactiveI also thought of a little treadmill strapped to his feet and I also didn’t think about socks. That is too funny I just don’t have one to add right now. Thanks for the laugh.

InactiveWhat a sweet picture of Alana!!
Here’s one of my embarrassing work experiences. I used to work in a the Human Resources Dept. at the IRS. I’m terrible with names and not so good with faces either.
There were many departments, branches and units to which 1,000’s of employees could be assinged to work. One particular day we got a new employee assigned to our department, Personnel. I was introduced to her and promptly forgot her name, as I usually do. She took the desk right behind me. So, one of my responsibilites was to look over personnel files and make sure they were complete. If there were forms or information missing I was to locate the employee by looking up the dept to which they were assigned, calling the number of the Supervisor of that unit and requesting that the emplyee come to to the Personnel dept. to complete their file.
Well, that night I had a file which was incomplete so I looked up the dept. and extension and made the call to have the employee come down to Personnel. The supervisor answered, “Personnel, Jayne; how can I help you.” Somehow I missed the “Personnel, Jayne” part and heard only “How can I help you?” I began my spiel, “Hello, this is Christine in Personnel. We need Barbara Jones (not her real name) to come down to Personnel and complete her Personnel file.” To my utter shock and humilitation I heard my supervisor yelling from her desk, “Christine, turn around. Barbara is right behind you!” I thought I’d die from embarrassment.

InactiveThank you for both of those stories. I wish I had one to share, but at the moment I don’t. However I love your stories.
