Lowered Prevacid Dose and More Burping

What causes the burping is the constant swallowing. That should be a big enough sign that reflux is the issue. My son is just a month older than yours and he is still on reflux meds. We have done some trials of weaning him off but we had no luck so he is back on them still. I just noticed with him that he would swallow the whenever something came up and that would cause him to burp. You could try some mylicon to help with some of the gas and maybe he will be a little more comfortable.

I have recently started to have reflux due to a BIG weight gain! All I can say is “oh the horror”! Not only do I burp non-stop, but have the constant feeling that something is lodged or coming up my esophagus. It also burns all the time, and sometimes I get surprised by nasty tasting stomach contents quickly coming up into my throat. It is the most awful taste ever, and I can understand why our refluxers cry so much from this.

It’s been an eye opening experience for me. I’m miserable, and my case is nothing compared to what Hailey (and the rest of our babes have gone through).

Anyway, I vote yes for the burping having to do with reflux.
