I just gave Kayleigh her Zithromycin for her Strep Throat and as I turned the box over i saw a sticker that says Don’t Take with Antacids so now i’m in a fog because I know she’s had this before and I remember something about timing them or that it didn’t apply. AGGHH I’m confused it’s 30 min prior to bedtime and meds and hopefully somebody knows the answer. I totally should have remembered to ask the pharmacist. Thanks

Ok for tonight I think I’m going with the 2 hour wait between but if anybody knows the answer I’d love to hear it. TIA

I’m pretty sure that by antacids it means things like mylanta and tums, not PPIs like Zegerid. I know Bryce was on an antibiotic that had that same warning, and we didn’t space them out.

Thanks part of my brain was saying that but the other part was disagreeing. I hate being sick I can never think quite straight! Thanks again
