Inactivei hadn’t slept well last night, so i ended up on the couch. about a quater after 6 kevin came and woke me up and wanted me to come into the bedroom. i figured he was worried about one of his incisions from his surgery, but when i got there he told me that he was feeling short of breath and sweating. his forehead was clammy when i felt him. i was thinking heart attack and took him to the ER. they did some blood work and an EKG. everything looked ok. the doc said he couldn’t guarantee that it was not his heart, but he was 99.9% sure that it wasn’t. they decided it was probably anxiety and told him to rest today. he has been sleeping most of the morning and has had a little more shortness of breath. i had him take some antacid (he said he had had some indigestion) just in case it might be caused by a little bit of reflux. kevin has never had anxiety problems before, but i hope that that is what the problem really is. he looks a little flushed in the face—-probably just from lying down.
the doc is the same one that took care of him when he got burned. he told kevin that this was a lot better than the last time he had been in the ER.

Things never seem to be calm in your household! You are so amazing! I’m glad that it is not Kevin’s heart! Get some rest as soon as you can! My wish for 2007 for you, is a nice get away! And no more reflux diagnosis in your family!!!!!

InactiveOh, no! You must have been terrified. I’m glad to hear the doctor doesn’t think it’s his heart. It does sound like it could be anxiety. I have a friend who didn’t develop any anxiety symptoms until she was in her 60’s, so it’s certainly possible.

InactiveHow scary! I’m glad it doesn’t seem to be his heart. I hope he gets feeling better & this doesn’t happen again.

Inactivekevin seems to be doing better, although he stayed home from work again today. we had sylvia’s dental work done today. i kept her up really late so she would sleep as long as possible in the morning since we weren’t scheduled until 11. they called me early and asked if we could come in at 9:15—boy was i happy. i had to wake her up to go—-so i didn’t have to deal with her begging for food. i’m really glad we ended up going this route (having her put out and all the teeth done at once) because it turned out that she had more teeth needing work than they realized—i think it was 11 or 12 teeth that they worked on. six of those were like mini root canals and have stainless steel crowns. they were able to polish her two top front teeth and use porcelain fillings on them so they look so much better. the dentist told me that her teeth looked clean and that she has some sort of dental dysplasia—-so at least i know it wasn’t my fault that her teeth are so bad. she has been sleeping most of the day. she’ll probably be up for hours now—at least tomorrow is saturday!! kevieb2007-1-5 19:7:56

InactiveI’m glad to hear Kevin is doing better, and that’s great that Sylvia’s surgery went well. At least you can put that behind you now. I hope they are both feeling well tomorrow and you have a nice weekend.

InactiveI’m glad that Kevin is doing better and that Sylvia’s surgery went well. I really don’t know how you do it all and remain calm!
