Hi everyone! It has been a looooooooooong and stressful week!
We are putting our house on the market on Monday and I’ve been a mad woman trying to get it in order! Sarah has been semi-cooperative although most work has been done after she’s gone to bed. I didn’t realize how cluttered our house was until we decided to sell!!! I live in small town southern IL so there’s no telling how quickly it will sell. Could be days…or never! We have another house we like and they have accepted our offer…so let’s hope our house sells quickly so we can get this over with! The GREAT news about the new house is barring anything majorly weird with our jobs…it’s big enough to live in FOREVER! So hopefully this will be our last move for a long time. This is also my first time selling a house…does anyone have any pointers or suggestions?
Well, just wanted to share what’s been going on at my house. I MISS being able to relax at the end of the day and post messages!!!

Hey, Amy. Hope you sell your house quickly. We, too, want to buy a house but houses in NYC are sooooo expensive. Where we live, the cheapest on is half a million. We don’t even have 10% for down payment

WOW – Half a million huh? Gosh I can’t even imagine. A “mansion” in my town would be $250,000 and I’m talking HUGE BRAND NEW house like a celebrity would live in! But, I live in the poorest county in Illinois (I think we still hold that title!
) where EVEN AS a teacher I am making more money than a majority of the people here. Hard to believe on my measley salary! Sad though really.
