Some of you may have seen my other thread about Seth testing borderline anemic. I have tried to start giving him the Flinestone’s Complete supplement but he says they are “yuk” and spits it out. What other options are out there? I don’t think he would go for the drops either. Does anyone use the gummivites?
We used the gummy ones and Dylan loved them, but they did not have iron in them. (thank goodness, but that is a funny/REALLY BAD MOMMY story that I am not willing to admit yet! LOL)!
I think you can get some with Iron, though, but check the lables.
I wonder if you could just add the liquid ones to a juice or drink and he wouldn’t know it was there?
I think they have gumball vitamins too. I haven’t looked at them but I have been told by some other moms that they used them… Might be an option, but I am sure you would have to hide them as well.
We use the Flintstone’s Gummy ones with Kaelyn. We tried using the Dora chewables, but she spit them out and said they were yucky. We keep them way out of reach too!
thanks everyone, I went to Walgreens and Whole Foods yesterday and could not find any gummy ones with iron. I may have to resort to the drops but trying not to since his teeth are already discolored enough. I did see where you can crush the Flinestone’s so maybe I can go that route.
I did not see the gumball ones but did see some that were like jelly beans! No iron in them though.
We have a brand here in Canada called gummy vites, and they have iron. Strange thing though is that they say for ages 6 and up, and the dosage is kind of strange. But they’re popular here. I’m actually looking into them for Hailey as she won’t take the Flintstones consistently. Good luck finding something.
I would check the ones at whole foods.. we bought a “natural foods one” for shane that is a berry flavor (liquid).. and he likes it somewhat… but you can add it to a drink or applesauce and he wont know. we went this route because he cant have the flintstones yet.. and he WILL NOT even go near the enfamil poli vi sol one..
