How old is your child and for what reason is he/she taking it? Vincent has terrible gas and it is causing him to bring his knees to his chest constantly thru the day and night.

on here, mylanta is used for babies with relfux whose esophogus is hurting from all the acid. we used it when we were on zantac and it wasnt helping the acid. now that he is on zegerid, a PPI, there is no more acid that comes up to burn his thoat (kinda like heartburn) so we dont use it anymore.

We started Kaelyn on it at 2 months. For a while she was getting 1/4 tsp about every 4 hours. As the prevacid started to work for her, we slowly cut back on it. Alexandra has gotten it as needed since she was about 3 weeks old.

Aidan takes 2 ml when he goes to sleep and sometiems during the day if I hear a reflux or 2. He used to take 2 ml at every bottle/meal.
