Tracy – I am glad Ian is feeling better, but sorry about the eating. Nothing is ever easy and straighforward is it? Tyler has never been a comfort eater but he does go up and down in the amounts that he eats each day. When he has been sick it can take a couple of weeks before he is eating properly again. I cant believe your doctor abandoned you! They should at least refer you to someone more specialised or experienced than they are!
If you start solid foods, I would start really slowly. Once food is involved then the guessing game is even harder – you never know if it is food causing a problem or reflux, illness, teething etc. The foods we have had the most luck with is potato, pumpkin and banana. I wouldnt bother with cereals for a couple of months, the only one Tyler can tolerate is Amaranth.
I know what you mean about working from home. I have been working at home for the past 3 years and it is so difficult to juggle your time. It gets even more difficult when they are old enough to come into your office and keep asking “come and play with me”. I hate the commute into the city to work, it just wastes time I could be spending with the kids so I prefer to work at home.
Hope things continue to improve.
