Prevacid and Diflucan?

My 5mo son got thrush again from a frozen BM I didn’t know was contaminated. I asked the pharmacist if it was okay to take Diflucan w/prevacid and he said yes.

Well I read the info sheet on the diflucan a few days later and it said do not take if taking prevacid…does it nullify the effects? He has been fussy when eating and I’m not sure if it is the reflux, the thrush still (although he looks cleared up) or that the prevacid isn’t working while on the diflucan.

i looked up drug interactions for diflucan and did not see anything about prevacid….hmmm. if your sheet did in fact say this, i would call the pharmacist and point that out, and see what they say.

i know there are quite a few babies that have been on diflucan here, and they were also on a PPI. if you go to the search function, type in diflucan and you will get many results.
