Okay, we just started the prevacid solutabs on Tuesday and I think his dose is lower than when he was on the compound!
He’s getting 1/2 pill of the 15mg every day so I’m assuming that’s 7.5mg total?? I think when we discussed this earlier about the compounded stuff, he was getting 3MG, 2ml twice a day which equals 12mg? Am I thinking this out correctly? So we started with 12 and went down to 7.5, not good!
It doesn’t really seem to be the problem right now b/c his ears are still infected I think. He’s on Ceftin and the nights are getting worse, not better. I’m calling the doc tomorrow and if I don’t get a referral for tubes, I’m going to reach through the phone I think! (lack of sleep!) Sorry, just venting!
So correct me if I’m wrong please, but is he getting less of the Prevacid than before??
Yikes! Yes, 7.5 would certainly be too little. I would ask to have that upped if at all possible. Especially with an ear infection too, poor little guy must be in pain.
