Is there/what is the difference in using OTC prevacid vs prilosec? We are currently on Prev solutabs but I was planning on switching to OTC w/buffer babies. My main reason is to see if the loose stools clear up. I eliminated everything from my diet but potatoes, pears, and squash and his poops remain a thick liquid constistency.

If he has this prob with the solutabs, will he have it with the OTC?

I know the solutabs contain aspertame (sp?) which is a problem for some babies. I have no clue if the OTC prevacid has that…maybe the box would say?? I have found that the OTC meds + BB kit wind up being more costly for us than an rx. If you find that your LO can’t do solutabs…what about having your doctor rx prevacid capsules that you can use with BB? That is, assuming, your prescriptions are cheaper than the OTC + BB route.

You could email David Stock w/ Buffer Babies about the aspertame…or even Dr. Phillips from marci-kids.
