prevacid otc with apple juice?

I know baby can take otc prevacid with a little bit of applesauce but my 5 month old hates applesauce! can i give it to him in a syringe with some apple juice? if so, how much? TIA!

Yes, you can mix the Prevacid with apple juice or pedialyte or anything acidic. You only need a few mls or enough to wash the granules down. 🙂

I wonder why he would tell you this since he is selling the Bufferbabies? I just ordered more Bufferbabies but DS even hates that more then applesauce! I’m gonna try the juice or pedialyte and see what happens. Thanks again!

He has the best interest of children at heart…that’s why I respect him. He doesn’t push any one PPI over another. He is able to answer any questions you might have about any medicine, without bias. Very smart man!

Thanks so good to know! BTW, why aren’t you giving your DD the prevacid with a little apple juice/sauce or pedialyte? Our kids are only a month apart. I’m thinking it would be so much cheaper and easier to just give it in a syringe rather then go the whole BB route YKWIM?

I didn’t want to time the prevacid around meals (given on an empty stomach followed by a meal 30-60min later). I like the dosing convenience of BB. They have come down on their prices for BB, not sure if you knew that. A refill used to cost $13.50 but now if you buy 10 at a time they are $4 a piece. Totally worth it for me! 🙂
